This drawing depicts famous blues musicians who were the source of Elvis Presely's music. Elvis was able to bring black music to the main stream as a white performer. Thus, in this segment, The Birth of Rock & Roll (left/center); Big Mama Thornton (right), Saxophonist Charlie Parker, and Chuck Berry are om the background.

Drive in movies were popular in the SFV in the 50's, James Dean is seated in a convertible from his movie "Giant", 1956.

  • This is a giclée of an original coloration used for determining the colors for the Great Wall of LA. It was used by the youth and artists in the LA River when painting the Great Wall over five summers from the late 1970s to early 1980s.
