Back: The WORLD WALL is a world traveling mural conceived by artist Judith F. Baca. It examines contemporary issues of global importance; war, peace, cooperation, interdependence and spiritual growth. The WORLD WALL is made up of a growing series of 10'x30' panels which envision a transformation from a war-based society to a peaceful one. Contributions have been made to Baca's 4 panels painted in L.A. from Finland, Russia, this year from an Israel Jewish and Palestinian teaming from a Mexican team. Travel is scheduled to the inauguration of the state of Palestine in 1999. Additional panels are in planning rom South Africa, Brazil and Asia.
