Tanya Melendez is a Boricua born and raised in Highland Park, Los Angeles.

Ms. Melendez has a background in dance and fine art. She founded her jewelry line in 2005 called NenaSoulFly. Ms Melendez incorporates her cultural background, experience in art and dance to create one of a kind pieces. She uses a fusion of vibrant traditional textiles and bold prints from West Africa and Central and South America.
