Great Wall of Los Angeles Art Kit
Unleash your inner artist with this all-in-one Great Wall of Los Angeles Art Kit including excerpts from new 1960s sections of the expansion of the Great Wall of Los Angeles.
The 1960s: A Generation on Fire is the latest iteration and work in progress of the Great Wall of Los Angeles. Tom Hayden, a prominent anti-war and civil rights activist, provided the overarching metaphor for the energy of the movement-builders captured in these panels. In an interview with Judy Baca conducted at SPARC, Hayden remarked that the 1960s was the first time in history an entire generation were self-described revolutionaries; they were, he said, a generation on fire.
