About the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy and the Mauricio Gatstón Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
The Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy was established as a unit of the John W. McCormack Institute of Public Affairs in 1994 to engage in educational programs, research initiatives, and public service projects of relevance to women from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, and to promote women's leadership in the public arena. The Center conducts studies and holds policy forums aimed at expanding the body of knowledge and information on the status and political progress of women in Massachusetts.
